i gave a reading the other night. meaning i spoke in front of an audience in an old barn which is no longer a barn but once was a barn (for elephants) and then once was a dormitory (for men) and then became a cafe and now it's called the four winds.
our school mascot is mainly the [] but it is also the four winds. which means: windy turbulence.
friday night: i printed some things off the internet saturday: gave away print-outs to an unwitting perspective satuday k(n)ite: met david pini and fell in love
sunday morning: slow drag on the freeway
i've got class tomorrow. topics in feminist philosophy. I have to read judith butler tonight. i have to... i have to...

the army-worm:
THERE are certain species of insects which are justly regarded with fear in regions subject to their devastations. The cinch-bug and the Hessian Fly, the Rocky Mountain Locust and the Army-worm, are probably the most notable examples of such pests. And the last named- the Army-worm- probably occurs in destructive numbers over a greater area than the others, with the possible exception of the _______ fly"

song i am obsessing over for no reason, well just this line:
"a bird you would have liked brought the sky down but it was useless to see it without you around"
I am not sad. But I am nostalgic of things past. I keep seeing all these cormorants at the lake. They do not belong there. And maybe I do not belong here. But they are comforting.
"a bird we would have liked brought the sky down and I can't stand it that i'm alright". |

I feel too insane in these parts, like when you accidentally vomit in your mouth and have to force it back down, bc yr in public. I've been doing that a lot lately, and puking all over proust. Stupid suggestions made by silly girls. I love that book and now have ruined it and also feel like I am not allowed to love it. Reading a book in search of a flaw is no good way to read at all. |

Let's take the easy way out, let's move away for good, let's pull the curtains down and leave. it's between me and her now, can't seperate at all, let's put the cards back in the sleeve.
she's stepping on my shoes and i couldnt want it more that way i always know shes close she's like a big orchestra playing my tiny tune let's pull the curtains down and leave
ps. I experienced cleaning and laundry and sewing with the boys tonight and dinner and a movie and a multitude of cigarette breaks but it felt more like the future than ever before. |

Underwater I wrote drowning I use to be such good good swimmer But for now my head is in the clouds I'm a silly love song A twisted elbow crush song I would go to jail with only boys Just to prove I was as tough as you And when I get out for good behavior I'll be writing love songs Silly banging knee songs I'm a car crash But I have to get up And every morning it's a cleanup All I need is time, time to love you The forecast is grey But we're staying inside You must live close I've seen you drive by I left signs on the lawn Where have they gone? Did you take them to tease me To follow or lead me? You're a silly love song A verse chorus and such Some silly love song A verse chorus and such I'm a car crash But I have to get up |

There are no chains heavy enough to hold you back today, what with all that vigorous positive energy coursing through your bones! You may perceive some obstacles, but they will not be as insurmountable as they appear -- so don't give them a second thought. You do not need to pay attention to the word 'no' today. As long as you abide by the law (and by your own well-developed moral code), you are free to do as you wish!
robbie:
You're way too smart to be fooled by a smooth talker, although you might come awfully close today when some flattery turns your head. This charmer has a great line and a good story, and your interest is piqued. Follow your curiosity as far as you feel comfortable doing so, but keep in mind that all that glitters is definitely not gold. If something (or someone) seems too good to be true right now, then guess what? Have fun, but protect yourself
nash: Even though you're in big demand socially, you may not feel like hanging with other people right now -- and that is okay! Don't worry that if you refuse a few invitations now, you'll never be invited anywhere again. The people who want to spend time with you respect you and your boundaries, and they are willing to wait until you're ready. When your social obligations feel like chores, that's your subconscious telling you to take a break and recharge. |

I am currently in love with carly simon, these periods hit me ever so often, I have maybe six of her songs but I get intense cravings for her sporadically, so right now I am in my room with the sniffles crying because I cannot find my bird necklace which gives me comfort and wish I knew where it was at least but the crying is more of a side product from dillerium, which I cant explain. or spell.
"how to turn down the noise in my mind". lady simon gets me better than no other. |

Introduction to Poetry Billy Collins I ask them to take a poem and hold it up to the light like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to waterski across the surface of a poem waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do is tie the poem to a chair with rope and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose to find out what it really means. |

if you find a little green fake bird today somewhere between second court and half way on the overpass can you please return it to me? Or if someone you know randomly has this little green birdy ask them about it? The mean cold wind blew it out of my hair.
This is what it looks like:

well apparently I am inept and do not know how to post pictures. its cute, it goes in my hair, I'm sure you've seen it. |
